On the occasion of celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and the United States, Mr. David Petraeus, co-owner and Chairman of the Global Institute of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts Investment Fund (KKR), is visiting Vietnam to reinforce KKR's special commitment in the country.

In the field of education, KKR has invested in the EQuest Education Group to develop primary, higher, and technology-enhanced education. KKR places special emphasis on the development of education and the workforce based on supporting the "Lifelong Learning" process.

With the backing and investment from KKR, EQuest aims to build a sustainable, high-quality, and humane future of education through commitments to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. One notable ESG project of EQuest is the iLINK project, an English language teaching program through mathematics and science by iSMART Education, following the curriculum framework of the Ministry of Education and Training, delivered through both in-person and online methods.

The program has been successfully implemented in the mountainous district of Mù Cang Chải (Yên Bái) with free sponsorship for five years. In the first year alone, nearly 4,000 students participated, and it is expected that tens of thousands of students will benefit from the project.

After one year of implementation in Mù Cang Chải, 2,564 students have completed the English Science program, accounting for 69.6% of participating students. Additionally, 2,853 students (77.6%) have excelled in the English Mathematics program. This demonstrates a significant improvement in English skills for students in Mù Cang Chải, highlighting the positive impact of the project.

Mr. Đàm Quang Minh (Deputy General Director of EQuest) stated, "EQuest is committed to collaborating with KKR to develop sustainable education in Vietnam through ESG projects. We believe that these efforts will spread positive values, benefiting students and education in Vietnam as a whole."

Currently, EQuest and its member units are implementing various community projects, including waste and emission reduction, enhancing green spaces inside and outside school premises with the Green School project, mental health care for students, parents, teachers, and school staff with the School of Well-being project, building bridges and schools in difficult mountainous areas, and sponsoring scholarships for students with special circumstances.

Member institutions of EQuest, such as Phu Xuan University, the Canada International School, the Star Hanoi Education System, Newton, Alpha, and the Vietnam-America College, are making significant contributions to local education.

As one of the members of EQuest, Phu Xuan University emphasizes mental health care for students, sponsors scholarships for students, aiming to provide not only a quality learning environment but also sustainable spiritual values.
